Rockridge Out & About Street Festival

The historic Rockridge neighborhood in North Oakland welcomes residents and visitors alike to experience its charms and explore its many offerings—--classic California architecture, eclectic shopping, award-winning restaurants, bustling cafes, quality food purveyors, and a wide range of personal services. On Sunday, September 27th, “Rockridge Out & About” focuses on the area’s businesses and services during its annual street fair. On top of its usual delights, College Avenue becomes the stage for musicians, clowns, street performers, fashion shows, cooking demos, in-store workshops, and wellness activities.
Organized by the Rockridge District Association, “Rockridge Out & About” features food, fun, education, health forums, live music, dancing, green businesses, artisans and community booths. College Avenue becomes a culinary extravaganza with cooking demonstrations, gourmet food booths, and comparative ingredient tastings presented by Rockridge chefs and purveyors.
Highlights also include the Rockridge Runway presented by local boutiques, a Chef Stage featuring the district’s top chefs, a Wellness Tent, Green Living Expo, Home & Garden section, Picnic in the Street with wine and cheese sampling, local cookbook authors and gourmet food, art installations and many children activities in Kid’s Court.
Take BART to Rockridge, Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, 11 a.m. – 6 pm.
We are still accepting applications for vendors. Oakland-based artisans will be given priority and not all applications will be accepted. For more information, visit www.rockridgeoutandabout.com. If you have been a vendor with us already this year, there is no need to submit the additional paperwork or photos because we have them on file.
